Volunteer Service opportunities in Cyprus and abroad for young people aged 18-30. Our organisation has been coordinating/hosting and sending volunteers under European Voluntary Service Programs (EVS) under Youth in Action and Erasmus Plus since 2012.
Now planning under the European Solidarity Corps programme we offer a number of opportunities for young persons from Cyprus and abroad.
We have hosted more than 250 volunteers and has sent around 35 Cypriot volunteers abroad. We work in the direction of investigating and supporting the role of Mentors in EVS / ESC as well as offering trainings and education on Volunteer Management (Volu.M.E).
Our first experience as a Cultural Workshop was the exchange of new “Body Language – Stories of Love” 2007. The Body Language – Stories of Love 2007.
Vibes of Life, followed as an ongoing project since 2013. A gathering of young people with opportunities for dance, theatre, music are provided. The OCARINA project operated under the umbrella of the European Commission’s CULTURE Program in 2012-2014. The subject was dance and music and the creation of a performance. The program gave us the opportunity to delve deeper into the expression through the performance of traditional dance in a modern way, while respecting the style and ethos of both music and dance. It opened new horizons for us that had also affected our engagement with traditional dance in the dance workshop.
The Cultural Workshop was dedicated to organizing trainings for young animators, focusing on non-formal learning, interculturalism and volunteering. The trainings focus on personal development, intercultural learning, volunteer management, non formal education.
