Les Insoumuses / Ανυπάκουες Μούσες

Το Πολιτιστικό Εργαστήρι Αγίων Ομολογητών με τη στήριξη των Πολιτιστικών Υπηρεσιών του Υπουργείου Παιδείας, Πολιτισμού, Αθλητισμού και Νεολαίας και σε συνεργασία με το Γαλλικό Ινστιτούτο Κύπρου, παρουσιάζει ένα αναδρομικό αφιέρωμα στα βίντεο της φεμινιστικής κολεκτίβας, Les Insoumuses (Ανυπάκουες Μούσες), από το οπτικοακουστικό αρχείο, Centre Audiovisuel Simone de Beauvoir. Οι προβολές θα πραγματοποιηθούν στις 11, 13 και 18 Μαΐου 2022, και τις ταινίες θα προλογίσει η ιστορικός κινηματογράφου και επιμελήτρια του προγράμματος, Δρ. Όλγα Κουρέλου.

Είσοδος ελεύθερη. Θα τηρούνται τα τρέχοντα υγειονομικά πρωτόκολλα.

Οι ταινίες είναι κατάλληλες για άτομα άνω των 18 ετών.

Σκηνοθεσία: Delphine Seyrig (1976, 115′)

Μέσα από συνεντεύξεις με 24 Γαλλίδες και Αμερικανίδες ηθοποιούς, η Delphine Seyrig αναδεικνύει τις επαγγελματικές τους εμπειρίες ως γυναίκες, τους ρόλους τους και τις σχέσεις τους με τους σκηνοθέτες. Μια αποθαρρυντική αξιολόγηση μιας βιομηχανίας που βλέπει τις γυναίκες μόνο μέσα από φυλετικά στερεότυπα και κλισέ.

Το 1975 ανακηρύχθηκε «έτος της γυναίκας». Με αυτή την ευκαιρία, ο Bernard Pivot κάλεσε τη Françoise Giroud, την τότε Υπουργό Δικαιωμάτων των Γυναικών, στη δημοφιλή τηλεοπτική του εκπομπή. Στο ντοκιμαντέρ, οι Les Insoumuses διακωμωδούν τον μισογυνισμό της εκπομπής με δηκτικό τρόπο.

Μάιος 1975. Με την υποστήριξη εκπροσώπων γυναικείων οργανώσεων από όλο τον κόσμο, οι Κύπριες πορεύονται ειρηνικά για να προσπαθήσουν να επιτύχουν την εφαρμογή του ψηφίσματος των Ηνωμένων Εθνών, που αφορά στο δικαίωμα των προσφύγων να επιστρέψουν στα σπίτια τους.

Τον Ιούνιο του 1975, πόρνες στη Λυών κατέλαβαν την εκκλησία Saint-Nizier. Σε αυτό το ντοκιμαντέρ μιλούν για την προσωπική τους ζωή, τη σχέση τους με την κοινωνία, τις συνθήκες εργασίας και τα αιτήματά τους.

S.C.U.M. Manifesto 1967

 Σκηνοθεσία: Carole Roussopoulos, Delphine Seyrig (1976, 27′)

Μια σκηνοθετημένη ανάγνωση του βιβλίου της Valerie Solanas, S.C.U.M. Μανιφέστο (1967), με φόντο δελτία ειδήσεων της τηλεόρασης. Η ταινία είναι ένα κατηγορητήριο για μια κοινωνία που κυριαρχείται από εικόνες «αρρενωπής» δράσης.

‘LES INSUMUSES’

A retrospective of the videos of the feminist video collective, Les Insoumuses (Defiant Muses) from the Centre Audiovisuel Simone de Beauvoir. All screenings will be introduced by film historian and curator of the programme, Dr Olga Kourelou. The event is organized by the Cultural Workshop Agion Omologiton with the support of the Cultural Services of The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth of Cyprus and in collaboration with the French Institute of Cyprus and will run on 11, 13 and 18 May 2022.

Delphine Seyrig interviews 24 French and US actresses about their professional experiences as women, their roles and their relationships with directors. A sobering assessment of an industry that only awards parts to women based on clichés and stereotypes.

Maso and Miso Go Boating

1975 was declared ‘year of the woman’. On this occasion, Bernard Pivot invited Françoise Giroud, then Secretary of State for Women, on his popular TV show. In this documentary, Les Insoumuses parody the show’s misogyny in a provocative way.

The Prostitutes of Lyon Speak

In June 1975, prostitutes in Lyon occupied Saint-Nizier Church. In this documentary, they talk about their personal lives, their relationship to society, their working conditions and their demands.

S.C.U.M. Manifesto 1967

Directors: Carole Roussopoulos, Delphine Seyrig (1976, 27′)

S.C.U.M. = Society for Cutting Up Men. A staged reading of Valerie Solanas’ book, S.C.U.M. Manifesto (1967) against a background of television news bulletins. The film is an indictment of a society dominated by ‘male’ images of ‘virile’ action.
