{"id":5005,"date":"2025-12-01T23:42:42","date_gmt":"2025-12-01T21:42:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/politistiko-ergastiri.org\/?p=5005"},"modified":"2025-12-05T09:06:23","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T07:06:23","slug":"20th-session-for-the-safeguarding-of-intangible-cultural-heritage-presence-of-the-cultural-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/politistiko-ergastiri.org\/index.php\/en\/20th-session-for-the-safeguarding-of-intangible-cultural-heritage-presence-of-the-cultural-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201c20th Session for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage \u2013 Presence of the Cultural Workshop\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From <strong>7\u201313 December 2025<\/strong>, the <strong>20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage<\/strong> of UNESCO is taking place in <strong>New Delhi, India<\/strong>.<br>(link)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"203\" height=\"248\" src=\"https:\/\/politistiko-ergastiri.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20th-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5007\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the Cultural Workshop\u2019s involvement as a member of the committee of non-profit organizations that act as an advisory body to the UNESCO Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage, it has been actively participating in the preparation of the session since 2012.<br>On this year\u2019s opening day, it will also participate with a presentation related to one of the Cultural Workshop\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>The term \u201cChorostasi\u201d as an example of inclusive transmission and safeguarding of cultural heritage<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation introduces the <strong>\u201cChorostasi\u201d Model<\/strong>, a community-based approach for inclusive safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).<br>The term <em>Chorostasi<\/em>\u2014the Greek word for \u201cthreshing floor\u201d\u2014historically refers to a communal space where social boundaries dissolved through shared celebration with dance, music, and expressive practices.
