Trainstation is built to inspire creativeness in the digital and technical field. We offer all visitors to learn and experiment with digital music\, programming\, photo/film\, web design\, VR\, AI and 3D games as well as clothing design\, 3D-printing\, digital drawing\, 3D-sculpting and more. You will meet people from all over the world since this Youth Centre is located in a multicultural neighborhood. During the day you will meet schoolchildren and participate as a support for the staff at Trainstation. You will be a part of the team and help develop a whole new kind of center focused on digital creativity\, the latest technique and improving self-esteem. \nACCOMMODATION\, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS\nThe volunteer will get food and pocket money according to the European Solidarity Corps funding rules paid on the 27th every month by bank transfer. The volunteers will share a flat in Örebro. The flat will have a shared bedroom and one livingroom. There is a kitchen with a dining area and kitchen-ware including cooking appliances\, stove with oven\, fridge\, coffee machine and toaster. The flat has a shared bathroom and a balcony. Heating\, electricity and wifi is provided. A monthly ticket for the local public transport or a bicycle will be provided for each volunteer. \nTRAINING DURING THE PROJECT\nVolunteers will get preparaton training by their sending organisation. There will be an On-Arrival training and one Mid-Term training arranged by the Swedish NA. You will also get the opportunity to learn a new language. During the voluntary service you will have the chance to get further education in different areas of youth work. The main aim is to offer an opportunity for international volunteers to support educational activities in an organised environment such as schools. The schools are of primary education in the city of Lefkosia and the town of Dali. The volunteers will follow the school’s timetable in the mornings (assist teachers during the lessons\, support activities) but shall also be involved in activities during some afternoons in the hosting organisation’s premises\, supporting the running of cultural activities for adults and children. The project shall be implemented in Nicosia\, the capital of Cyprus\, and in the town of Dali\, in the outskirts of Nicosia (20-30min. away). Some of the volunteers shall be assigned in different schools in Nicosia and they shall be staying in Nicosia\, while others shall be staying in Dali and they shall be assigned to a school there. \nACCOMMODATION\, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS\nAccommodation will be provided by the hosting organisation in Nicosia and in Dali\, Cyprus. Food and transport arrangements shall be included in detail in the Activity Agreement. \nTRAINING DURING THE PROJECT\nThe volunteers will be offered an on arrival training organised by the National Agency. Their tasks will be supported and monitored within the school environment by a teacher or head teacher who will be responsible for their everyday work. \nVOLUNTEER PROFILE\nWe are looking for volunteers who are social and creative\, communicative\, resourceful and eager\, preferably with some previous experience in youth work and confident with the English language. The volunteers must be willing to undertake different kinds of work and creative activities\, especially in non formal education. The volunteers should be ready to take initiative and get involved with children\, parents\, children with disabilities and the everyday events in the schools.
